The Filibuster

I'm relatively new to politics, im 44,raised by my JFK democrat union worker so I grew up believing the news and democrats told us the truth. I found several independent news channels on YouTube and over time I was just blown away learning the truth, I finally left during open boarders covid BLM. I've come to find out that alot of Republican 'leaders' in congress are absolutely useless and dont really want to change things... all that to ask this, we KNOW the democrats are on a mission to destroy America, why didn't we bust the filibuster and pass everything we needed, Voter ID, immigration, birth right citizenship. they would've called us fascists but they do that anyway and by midterms people would've seen we were right, we passed one bill. if the democrats ever get a chance they absolutely will do it, look at how Spannberger is governing, why didn't we do it and turn the country around

Ok, thank you, I heard alot about him throughout the SAVE Act talk, it definitely seemed like he wasn't trying, It says he assumed that role in January of 25, Why was he given that role if he's not trying to get anything done. Why isn't he replaced?

Here’s the problem, right now it takes 60 votes, if we change to a simple majority, once the control of the senate changes to the dems, they can push forward any legislation they want,,,,the founding fathers knew this,,,,and the current members know this, going the nuclear option will be bad bad for both sides

Yeah I get that but they'd have to have the majority in both and the Presidency to do that right? Look what Mamdami and Spannberger are doing, listen to Carrville, look at project 2029. Make no mistake if the Democrats ever get to a situation where they can blow up the filibuster they absolutely will. We could've passed everything we wanted and by midterms people would see things hoing better and see we were right, we will look back and regret that we did not do everything we could when we could

The dems tried to do it in 2022 and it failed Maybe they do it when they are in power but they know there will be hell to pay when it flips back

The fact that they tried in '22 showing exactly where their heads are and we didn't do it the minute we had the chance is fricking crazy, they fight this fight like their in a war and we fight it like a game of touch football after Thanksgiving dinner with your drunk uncle. Unbelievable

The Filibuster is nothing but a ploy to wrest power from the Executive to the Senate. It may have started out as a way to bring a sort of togetherness into the Senate, but after FDR bullied everyone for 15 plus years, and the Presidency was reduced to two terms, the filibuster became a tool to use against WE THE PEOPLE and the Executive Branch.
So, why did we not get a Balanced Budget bill passed in the 90s or 2000s or when Trump had all Three Branches TWICE? The truth is the bought and paid for Senate leaders do not want it, how can they get graft like that? So, why do they never get in trouble with their base? Because they have to get 60 VOTES
Its a sham, both sides use when in power as an excuse to do what THEY WANT TO DO.............and not to do what THEIR CONSTITUENTS want to do. They have a built in excuse, with this BS rule they voted in. They basically steal the majority away from we the people, and give it to the MONEY GUYS who buy them off. The Dems love it too, if they had to push forth everything their crazy side wanted, they would never get elected again, so they just tell them we can't get 60 votes.
It is basically a UNI-PARTY, its the bought and paid for Senate vs. the Nation. The only way to break these scum is to get rid of all the leaders from both sides. If they were controlled and named by their State Legislatures as was intended, we would not have this BULL going on, they would vote our will or be recalled. The Senate was meant to be a guy simply bringing the will of EACH STATE to Wash. DC. Instead now these scum bring firth their own will, via the money men who buy them off.
