Has more hits in less than 2 SEC games than Yorke had in 12 SEC games.
How in the World did Jay see something different in practice???

I’m not sure. Braun was mashing in spring ball against guys like Evans and Schmidt. He needed to be in the lineup far more than he has been

Braun had a really good preseason so was expected to be highly involved from the start. Hence why he started opening weekend. But let’s not act like he hasn’t had struggles either. He had a 3-28 period mid season this year. Also never played first base. All that plays a part. Glad he’s doing great right now though we need it.

Would be nice if he’s our 1st B for the next 2 years.

I don't know. I am thinking Yorke was more "game ready" at the beginning of the season where in the first game he became a "fan favorite".
Then, I guess.. Was it the Kentucky series, two weekends ago when Yorke was pulled. It was an error I think right? I just remember thinking how lazy of an effort he put in trying to catch a ball that I think was thrown off a little bit.. Or maybe the timing with the runner to first caused Yorke to not be in the best position and had to put some effort into getting the ball. I just remember thinking "its one thing to be in a possible slump, but if you can't show effort in catching the ball on this level on top of not getting it done at the plate, he should not be in the lineup at all".
