Bob Knight didn’t win the most titles, and his intense style may have limited his ability to recruit elite talent, but he is probably the greatest basketball mind the game has ever produced.

well that's quite the stretch
Does Super Bowl winning head coach Mike McDonald add to Mark Richt's legacy?

He was doing laundry, passing out balls at practice, and carrying bags

Yes, but did Nick Saban play college football and coach under Mark Richt too?

Sure, but those weren't Dusty's formative years.

I honestly can't tell who is trolling anymore and who is just retarded.
dusty was a student manager under Knight in his early 20s. He was an assistant coach under White for 9 years at multiple stops during the rise of his professional career.
That'd be like saying Kirby Smart learned more from Bobby Bowden as a GA because he was young, opposed to the 11 years he spent with Saban.

Dusty May only worked with Mike White for 7 years. Dusty May also worked under another Bob Knight guy for 3 years at UAB.

What really irks me as La Tech alum is he was on staff under Mike White at Tech for 6 years. When White left for Florida, we had chance to promote him and chose to hire Konkol instead and May eventually ends up at FAU after couple years as assistant at Florida. Tech literally fumbled their one opportunity to be somewhat relevant in men's basketball in the last 35 years.

He was at Tech starting in 2009, but White didn't show up in Ruston until 2011. He worked with White from 2011-2018.

Bear Bryant died in 1983 but his assistant Bruce Arians won the Super Bowl in 2020
