On rare occasions the pop machine glitches and delivers something unconventional. Not often anymore, mind you. But it does happen.

Saw her on Graham Norton a year or so ago and instantly became a fan. Was very happy for her when she won her Grammy. “Messy” is a great song. Apparently it’s about the relationship between Young and her mother.

She comes across as London white trash (meant as a compliment) and I'm here for it. I do like that you can actually hear her accent when she sings.

Yeah, she's got that low-rent South London cockney accent. Reminds me of Eliza Doolittle from Pygmalion.
