Just like Hester did against Fla. in football on national television; there are always games that get the medias attention and guarantees that they will get a shot at a contract. Tonight, Thornton is showing what he will do in the NBA in the future. Sure, he will probably sign a free agent contract and not get drafted in both rounds, but the dude deserves a shot. Agree?

I'd think his workouts would get him signed before a game from February does.

i dont know possibly, but i dont remember off hand.. But after last year, i could see myself saying that.

He has had a rebirth as a player under Johnson. His shot selection is improved, his hustle has improved, and most of all his attitude has improved. Overall, he is a much much more efficient player.

No way. He a supposedly 6'4" 2 guard who can't play the point and he's a catch and shoot guy. He can't take his man off the dribble and he can't shoot off the dribble. Typical good college player who's not gonna make it in the NBA.

Try 6'3 at the least.

yes he can.

there are plenty of scoring guards around that height. If you can score the ball, you can play in the NBA. He is strong enough to get into hte lane and score, even at his height.

He's a shooter, and mostly a stand still shooter. He doesn't get into the lane enough in college, how's he gonna do it in the NBA?

Mo Williams was several inches shorter, a PG, and a helluva lot better off the dribble. He was also drafted in the middle of the 2nd round.

a PG that didnt really pass

he played basically the same role as Thornton except Williams initiated the offense

you've prob never even watched Thornton play this year.

and thornton is much better off the dribble than Williams.

what do you know, first 2 scoring plays of 2nd half is him driving to the goal for 2 then off the dribble for a 3

In college? No sir.

That's why I don't think Thornton will make it in the NBA. He's can't even play off the dribble in college.

yes, easily

Mo Williams shot 40% his last year. He must really suck at making layups going to the goal so much

Thornton is shooting 48%

Lester - Do you really believe that Thornton goes in the first round? If he does I'll be shocked. 2nd rouund, uh... maybe. I do agree that he will make an NBA roster though. He's strong, can create his own shot and is a solid defender.
