How can so many players make it to this major college level and can't control their pitches is crazy.

They throw 95+ and 1) have looser zones in high school and 2) don’t have people lay off pitches out if the zone in high school. Also baseball is hard. These are amateur pitchers. They leave the ball over the middle they get crushed at this level. If they were just asked to throw middle middle fastballs they all could but they also wouldn’t get many outs

100%. More worried about velocity and spin rate than just missing bats and getting guys out.
The analytics are out of control. They are simply a tool but abused in today’s game.
