The Louisiana Constitution requires that votes be counted IN PUBLIC and that is not happening and will not happen with a new electronic voting system.

Also, Louisiana passed a law in 2024 to require proof of citizenship to register to vote and the law is STILL not being enforced.

Citizens should not have to file a lawsuit to get our officials to follow the law.

Wittenbrink alleges that if a recount is required for an election, the election potentially has to be redone because only absentee ballots can be recounted.

And to have the election "redone" essentially requires a lawsuit (as opposed to a simpler recount request), i.e., the nuclear option.

We'll never have a chance to have any important issues addressed if we don't have fair and accurate elections.
