I’m about to pull the trigger on one anyone have this guitar want to offer some feedback or advice. I’d have to get a pickup put in for playing live but thats not a huge deal

I have never owned that model, did own an Advanced Jumbo years ago. It sounded great, but played like a truck. Gibson Acoustics are not know for their build quality. I’m assuming you have played it in person.

Not the one I’m buying, but I played one at Gibson Garage a few months ago and have been looking for one ever since

I would not buy a Gibson without playing it first. There are some brands that I will buy online ,but Gibsons QC is not worth taking a chance on IMHO.

That one is actually an Epiphone, built in some kind of partnership with Gibson custom shop.
I have bought 4 new Epiphone guitars over the last 3 years, 3 of those guitars were Masterbuilts or Inspired by Gibson models. Ordered all of them online.
Each one of those were ready to play right out of the box with the exception of the one that was a lower end model. Had to do a little fret work on that one, but it is an excellent player now.
I would bet money that Banner model will arrive ready to play.

I would install the K&K pickup or the Journey instruments version.
no batteries, no controls, plug in and play.

Plus one on the K+K, they are less intrusive and sound much better than the quack some under saddles give off. Also if you want to improve the tone some you can buy the K+K external pre amp later on.

So it's a used one?
I hope it's coming from a good picker and has a ghost inside.

Welp, I found out a bit ago that Gibson custom shop is now also building the Banner 1942 model SJ-45, but they are 3x the price used.

I can't imagine how good it will be.
I have one of the Inspired By Gibson Epiphone Hummingbirds, that I consider to be a great guitar, but that Epiphone Banner SJ 45 was considerably sweeter.
If the Gibson version is much better, I don't even want to try one.
