I'm Thinking That Pretty Soon All Of This Debate Over Returning Tariffs

Is going to make it impossible for those of you who insist that nobody paid them but foreign producers to maintain your fantasy.
It's going to be extremely easy to see what happened once businesses start demanding money back. Either their suppliers cut prices to them or they didn't. Easy to show. Either the domestic retailer/wholesaler raised their prices to compensate, or they didn't. Easy to show.
And they'll have every reason to document those easy to document facts, and the more the circumstance is debated, the more of it will be aired publicly.
And anybody who acts like a business who had to pay these tariffs and didn't pass it along to the consumer (which, let's all remember, has been the overwhelming claim by this board, that tariffs weren't passed along to the consumer) deserves to be paid back just like you'd deserve to be paid back if the county charged your property tax twice or overcharged your car tag.
It's the government taking money that legally doesn't belong to them.
Anybody arguing for that is—first, a retard—and second, a leftst.

You’re reduced to name calling with “leftist retard”? First, the name doesn’t even have meaning within the context of the subject. Second, it’s lazy and chickenshit…
