Trump’s 'Board of Peace' meets: Who’s in, who’s out, what’s on the agenda?

So what's this 'Board of Peace' really all about? (ME map looks conspicuous by omission) Notice Iran, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon were NOT invited; nor were , Venezuela or Cuba. Our former actual "greatest ally" Canada had their invite "rescinded".
> quote:
Lauding the board’s “unlimited potential”, Trump, its indefinite chairman, wrote in a post on his Truth Social platform: “The Board of Peace will prove to be the most consequential International Body in History.”
Critics have called out Trump’s “imperial agenda” with the board’s expanding charter viewed by many analysts as rivaling the United Nations.
Trump has also been criticised for offering seats on the board to Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu and Russia’s Vladimir Putin, both leaders wanted for alleged war crimes by the International Criminal Court. Only Netanyahu has formally accepted so far, despite being angered about the inclusion of Turkish and Qatari officials on the Gaza Executive Board.
What’s on the agenda for the first Board of Peace meeting?
The prime focus for Thursday’s inaugural meeting is a reconstruction plan for Gaza, which has been largely reduced to rubble by Israel’s ongoing genocidal war, which was diplomatically backed and armed by the US....Rebuilding the flattened Palestinian territories, ravaged by the Israeli bombardment of Gaza and demolitions and raids in the West Bank, would be a monumental task on its own, estimated to cost about $70bn by the United Nations.
The US is expected to announce $5bn (now $10 billion) in funds from member states “toward the Gaza Humanitarian and Reconstruction efforts”.
quote:
The Board of Peace was unveiled officially on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, last month. Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law and executive member, also presented a glossy reconstruction vision – including beach resorts and high-rise towers – for Gaza in a presentation, decried by Palestinian advocacy groups as “imperialist”.

Chairman of the Board, President Donald Trump announces cutting a "small" check for $10 Billion, payable to the 'Board of Peace'. (Rumor is separate checks were also cut to 'Enrico's Catering Services' and 'Jared Kushner' for "miscellaneous services")
" I want to let you know that the United States is going to make a contribution of 10 billion dollars to the Board of Peace.
"And we've had great support for that number. And that number is a very small number when you look at uh that compared to the cost of war. That's two weeks of fighting. It's a very small number. Sounds like a lot, but it's a very small number. And so we're committed to 10 billion dollars.
"Together we can achieve the dream of bringing lasting harmony to a region tortured by centuries of war, suffering, and carnage. They say 3,000 years.
"And hopefully we can lift up the eyes of the world to envision how other intractable conflicts can be settled. So many conflicts, they say, are impossible to settle. And we get them settled. We got of those eight that we settled, most of them were said to be not settleable."

AI impressions showing what Gaza could look like in ten years' time were shared by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu months before Donald Trump unveiled his controversial 'Middle East Riviera' plans for the embatled enclave.
The controversial blueprints were shared by Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu, showing the war-torn strip re-imagined as a redeveloped, idyllic urban and rural settlement. The release of these images comes after Trump announced his scheme to redevelop Gaze into "the Riviera of the Middle East."
The globally-rejected plans were announced in a press conference last week as the two leaders met at the White House, in which the US President announced he wanted to move 2.3 million Palestinians to Egypt and Jordan where he said they would be "better off".
Posting on social media, Trump said Gaza “would be turned over to the US by Israel at the conclusion of fighting”.

aljazeera news?
That's right. They aren't any less credible than any other "news" agency; they are probably MORE credible reporting as compared to the other sources. Did you see or read anything that seemed erroneous?
Unfortunately, Isreali "security forces" famously restricted almost all media and cameramen from reporting on much of anything.

Is it? How do we know where it'll be allocated?
According to the UN assessment, it will take $70 billion to clean up the mess (seems like a vast under-estimate).
Guess whose nation must occupy the demolished Gaza? Guess who will be paying for Gaza cleanup, logistics for caring for its people, AND their food & shelter? Yup, THE USA. You good with that?

The Decline:
You know someone who just announced they're getting married. But you pre-emptively let them know, "Naah, I hate you. Don't bother sending me the formal invitation -- I won't be attending no way, no how."
Not Accepted:
"Thanks for the nice invitation! Ummm...no, I don't think we'll be attending. We asked around -- everyone is already too busy with the EU and UN crap."
