Anybody here have a tankless water heater? I am just curious if you guys routinely perform a chemical/vinegar flush on the tubes. I have done a manual flush a couple of times on the unit (drained the unit during a freeze while out of town), and I am just wondering if it's worth doing a descaling on a yearly basis.

I understand the general thumb rule of annually to accommodate all types of water qualities, but on Lafourche Parish water it seems like annually may not be necessary for me. I used QwikDescaler last year, which was 2 years after install, and the solution barely changed color. It was almost indistinguishable.

I'm on a well in St. Tammany. I flush mine once every couple of years or whenever I think about it. Never really notice much whenever I do but it's easy and makes me feel like I'm taking care of it.

I have to agree, just did mine a few weeks ago, had been 3 years, almost nothing came out in the solution.

Did mine for the first time after 5 years. I'll probably do it in another 5 as well. You'd have to have some trash water to do it yearly imo.
