A++

Solid flick, really enjoyed how it was put together. Moves quickly, 3 episodes.

Takeaway is that the mafia is what we think it is, even bigger maybe ...and that Canadian law enforcement rules are soft.

I think it is a joke and not worth a documentary. Not sure what it is in Canada though. Carmine Galante started importing heroin through Montreal but the NY mob is dead.

What’s the likelihood of them making a comeback? Would think there are a ton of people propping up the communist are ready to get a frick ton of kick backs.

I think the chances of the Mafia making a comeback are pretty poor at this point in time. Anyone who heads one of the 5 families that once held such a powerful position on the criminal side of things is just asking for RICO to put them in prison for life.

Video electronic surveillance, wiretapping, getting guys to cooperate and go into "Witness Protection" to lessen long sentences, etc. is not going to go away and likely only get better.

Toss in the fact not many mobsters live long enough to retire and live a quiet life since almost any infraction, or perceived infraction gets them a bullet behind the ear by their own. It's not so glamorous a lifestyle when all things are considered.

Watch almost any mob related show where they have former mafia members as participants and they paint a pretty grim picture of what living that life is really like.

Yeah, and where did Galante wind up-----dead in the back courtyard of Joe & Mary's Italian restaurant when his Zips walked away instead of protecting him so he could be killed by rivals-----along with a few others who happened to be there at the time. You know, collateral damage.......

Then the Feds have warrants for the 5 bosses of the crime families in N.Y. and 4 of them get 100 years but Paul Castelano gets killed outside Spark's Steakhouse by John Gotti's crew before the Feds get him in court.

This is about ’Ndrangheta not the Sicilian or American mafia.
