Absolute travesty that they don't use that route anymore. Not like there was a conflicting route with other parades when Cleopatra/Alla/NOMTOC were rolling.

I agree, but the fact is that more people see the parade on the uptown route, plus they don't have to coordinate with both Orleans and Jefferson which i'm sure was a royal pain the butt.
