Turkey Zones Hunting Duration Question

With the state (LA) being broken into 3 very irregular zones, there are varying lengths of the season for each zone. I assume that is due to the population differences for each zone. But take Area C, it has the shortest season. Is that due to the lack of birds as compared to the other zones so they don’t want too many harvested? Or is due to the prevalence of birds and they want to have somewhat equal yields between each zone so they make it shorter?
New to turkeys so just curious. Are there birds around Monterey (Concordia parish)?

Short seasons = low turkey numbers.

It’s 100% due to lower numbers. The thinking being that toms get more desperate later in the season and relatively easier (not easy) to kill.

Actually the seasons have been pushed back in order to allow gobblers to bust up. Way too easy to kill multiple birds early vs late.
