He got a covid year. college football has always had 5th year seniors that have graduated. It's nothing new.

The grad school transfer has been around for a long time by now, and those guys rarely go to class physically. Burrow didn't go to class at LSU while doing his post-grad academic work here.

At least he went to class once upon a time...not that it really matters with today's Universities.
Now players don't have to pretend to go to class while auditioning for the NFL...the NFL money came to the minor leagues.

I’m pretty sure Eli Manning had graduated and wasn’t taking classes his last year.
While it has happened in the past, it has become more prevalent. It’s like Fournette not playing in a bowl game. That was an exception, but now it happens with a ton of players.
