Hot take : I think Aidan Anding and jhase Thomas have massive roles for us next season. Two guys who weren’t early enrolles so they were behind the 8 ball. However , after a year of being in the program I think both will have breakout seasons for us . Aidan Anding was the no.1 corner in LA for a reason he’s super sticky , athletic and a pit bull he will push ja’keem for cb3 I think he may end up winning the nickel job. Jhase Thomas is uber athletic and rangy. If he adds more weight I think he will push for safety #3 reps. Excited to see how both develop

Playing 10 yards off the ball, Pickett was dreadfully misused and looked lost at times in the Texas Bowl. He looked a lot better on the limited number of plays he was in man on the LOS. Tough to blame Baker due to two All-American DB's along with 2/3 of the starters on defense being out, but Pickett is a natural at press coverage.

I understand the number of backups on the field, but Baker basically treated that like a Spring Game. Very little disguising of coverage. Soft man and zone. That definitely wasn’t the normal scheme and there weren’t a lot of adjustments in the second half like we usually see.

Hell, I thought we actually got worse. I was in the club level LSU side at the ten yard line. Every 4th qtr UH drive was right in front of me and as soon as the corners lined up off the ball, an 8-10 yd stop route or QB draw opened up like the red sea. Death by a thousand paper cuts. Very unlike him.
