Why are the Pels playing 3 games against the Bulls this year?

I thought you only played a home-and-home vs teams in the other conference

In-season tournament shite.
Every team has to play 6 Tournament games. 4 games in group play and then 2 additional games. Teams that make the quarterfinals play in that game. Teams that don't will play 2 games vs other eliminated teams. Teams that lose the quarterfinals will play 1 game vs eliminated teams. Teams that make the semifinals will play no additional games. Teams that make the NBA Cup play an extra game.
Same reason we have 3 home games vs the Blazers this year.
