Clearly Willie Fritz studied the Vandy game for 3 weeks.

Good coach no doubt. Starters in or starters out both games look identical.

Im pretty sure Delane, Haulcy, Whit, and Perkins would have made it extremely hard for Houston to reach 20.

Stop with the foolishness. This isn't Vandy's offense.

You’re making my point. Vandy is better than Houston we both agree. When we played vandy we had better players in for a better team and we saw the results. Now we have lesser players in for a lesser team and the results are identical.

Yes the defense sucked, but the main reason that we lost is because the Houston defensive line absolutely slaughtered our offensive line. Nobody seems to be talking about this.

Not really. Connor Weigman is not Diego Pavia, Heisman finalist.

Let a joke of a qb have his way.

Again we agree that Conor is not Diego. But Conor did not have to play against haulcy or Delane and whoever we missed last night. Lesser QB played against a lesser defense. But the results are still the same. My conclusion is one of two things either Blake baker is wildly overpaid (not overrated I believe he is a good DC) or the LSU program is really a bottom feeder program.

We got worked in the trenches on both sides. The coverage wasn't great on d but i think a lot of guys were playing in roles they weren't accustomed to due to all the missing starters. This part I think will be helpful for development for next year at least. But in any case the d line couldn't get a push and even blitzes failed to get home, so the coverage was bound to get picked apart and they did. The o line has gotten wrecked all season so thats not really a surprise there. The d line has at least played pretty well during the season so thats the real head scratcher through all of this. Then again the d line coach opted out and the dc was contemplating a departure leading up to the game so maybe it shouldn't be as surprising as it was.

You can beat Baker’s defense with a mobile QB and a decent tight end on delayed releases, because he sends his linebackers on blitzes constantly.
