Honestly I didn’t mind it because we needed to score without calling timeout. Passing was the right call. If we executed, we would have possibly had a chance to get the ball back with around 30 seconds left to get in FG range. Slim chance but a chance nonetheless

I guess a pile up ticks away time if we don't get it

Honestly not bad. Should have thrown jump ball to Green.

I don’t trust us to score under center there and then get ourselves in a clock fiasco with those idiots coaching

Almost as bad as Steve Ensminger calling a play action pass for Joe Burrow inside their own 5 yard against Bama in the 2018 game resulting in a near safety with the ssck..

No. Running the ball twice when you needed to save the timeouts was the all-time bad decision in that situation.

First the read option that lost yardage and made LSU burn a timeout. Then calling the jet sweep right after that was a stupid call…they just got bailed out because Thomas fell forward into the end zone after contact. That was dangerously close to having to unnecessarily burn 2 timeouts on offense that should have been saved to try to stop the clock on defense. Les Miles level clock management skills
