Obviously tonight was the first time LSU passed 25 points all season against FBS opponents…but let’s dig a bit deeper.

On the season vs FBS opponents (12 games including the bowl game, SELA is excluded. The mighty Hilltoppers of WKU and LaTech are included though) LSU has scored exactly 22 offensive touchdowns. Less than 2 touchdowns per game.

Nuss had 9 TD passes and 5 INT
Van Buren has 7 TD passes and 2 INT
We rushed for 6 touchdowns in 12 games once you take away SELA. Durham 3. Berry 2. Thomas 1. That’s it.

Also have 14 turnovers during those same 12 games.

Pick 6 against Florida and kick return tonight and that’s it. Oof.

Makes me yearn for the Les Miles day when running the football, hard nosed defense, and making plays on special teams was a given. Only thing lacking was a pass game and we thought we were at rock bottom. Little did we know…..
