Anybody ever seen this?
Billy Crudup as a young drug addict in early 70s Midwest. It’s adapted from a book of rambling short stories, but it does a great job of tying them into one narrative and capturing the essence of the book.

The acting is great too. Michael Shannon. Samantha Morton. Dennis Leary are all good in it. Even Jack Black before he went all Jack Black.

There’s some sort of vibe that late 90s/early 2000s sad indie movies have that I can’t adequately describe, but whatever it is, this movie has it in spades.
