Jesus was from Nazareth

He was a Nazarene. Nazarene was in Galilee and Galilee was in Israel. Not Judaea. Making Jesus NOT a Jew.

Before you start on his parents, He was born of a virgin mother and His Father was not of this world.

Is it important for the Christian faith to understand these simple and factual interpretations in today's political climate? Where we, Christians, are somehow being trauma bonded by the Jewish faith?

There seems to be a pull that is trying to conflate the two religions. We may share common values but the faiths are very much different.

He hung out and stayed behind, to his parents' consternation, in his Father's House.. Luke ch2

I'm not trauma bonded to the jews for knowing and accepting Jesus' heritage... I am sad and confused they refuse to understand Who they so roundly reject.

I'm sorry you couldn't make it in the private sector, Sarge. How about letting me know what I said wrong and not go on the ad hom attacks. You're very fitting for a sergeant though.

Agreed. The temple in Judaism wasn't even built until long after Jesus died.

He was a Nazarene and not a Nasoreon like Samson.

Couldn’t cut their hair, be around any dead bodies, or drink any strong drink.

Jews weren’t considered Jews because they lived in Judea….

Are you trying to squirrelmeister this? If so- I'm out.

Jesus hung behind somewhere he called his Father's House in Luke ch2- I don't think it was a dojo.

I'm not trying to do anything. After the temple was destroyed they literally had none. It wasn't built again until long after the crucifixion of Christ.

He was Jewish, descending from the line of David in His humanity.

He was called a Jew in John 4:8 and He didn’t dispute it.

There are several passages that speak to His human lineage from the Jews, but that one alone should suffice.

He'd have to deny it for it to be true?

No it definitely doesn't suffice. How do the Jews have a claim to Israel if Judaea was at war with Israel?

Where did Jesus hang out in Luke ch2?

You're a sergeant in the military bud.

That's it.

Let’s look at this:

The “Judge” system of Israel was setup first. This was setup by Moses with his Father in law, the priest of Midian.

The 2nd system that was setup is what we know as “temple Judaism”. Phineas killed the “Midianites” after the plague.

That’s all Biblical.

I don't know what this has to do with Jesus being Jewish or not. What his earthly parents were doesn't matter either.

Fukk... what are you trying to say? Jesus was a Jew or not? Not an Israelite?

Yes, most people know there were the kingdoms of both Judea and Israel.

What are you getting at?

You're definitely not SQ... he'd have gotten to the point if not the inference by now.

Jesus certainly wasn’t an Israelite. He was a Jude aka Jew. Israel and Judea are not the same thing in the days of Jesus.
