Global Entry/NEXUS interview process

We just got conditionally approved for Global Entry/NEXUS and looking for guidance with the interview process.
We depart for Calgary en route to Banff next Thursday, so I doubt this will even happen before that (gov't shutdown delayed our application a good bit) but has anyone gone through this before?
Any help is appreciated

They fingerprint you and say any travel plans and then that's it
I was recently out of the country and got conditionally approved finally while on my trip
When I was going through immigration the guy at the counter said "I see you've been conditionally approved for global entry. Want to do your interview now?"
I said yes, he said put your fingers there
And that was it

It took longer to get the interview appointment than it took to do the actual interview. They ask a bunch of questions about your travel habits and stuff. Took about half an hour.

What took so long?
I've done it myself, and my two kids. Once called back by the officer combined we may have hit 30 minutes across all three "interviews."
Complete waste of time for all involved. On renewal they have an interview stage in the process but it's never done and they just extend you another 5 years.

When my wife did hers, I dropped her off at arrivals at MSY, circled the thing about 3 times and she was done

I honestly don't know why it took so long. I felt like I spent more time out in the hallway waiting to get my approval that al of the interview questions and I was the only one there that day.

Thanks for all the tips here so far...
We're trying to do a virtual one since the NEXUS locations are all scattered across the northern US, but can't seem to find the link to do that.
There's a way to do it at the Calgary airport but wondering if we'll have enough time before we get our bags and catch our shuttle to Banff.
