I did this in CFB 26 and it was a good Sim.
The playoff was 100% Power teams. I divided the remaining 3 conferences (the G3) into Western, Mid-West and South/East. You can only put 20 teams in a conference so put I put the "worst" teams in Independent with Army and Navy.

Its not 100% what Pate did but I like it more. He elevated Rice and I put BSU in that spot.

Josh Pate realigns EVERY CFB Conference

I undersold how much I changed. I didn't like the 4 Ind teams he had. I think ND should be in a conf as well as Vandy. I just used Ind as a overflow.

I had Gemini realign all of the programs into the 9 even conferences using a variety of different variables: academic levels, religious based, geographic location, names of rivalry games, etc. and it came up with some unique conference alignments. Told it to make sure to ensure that no one conference was so much stronger than others among other things.

One thing about 9 game schedules on CFB26 is that it ends up making your season end a week early if you an LSU where you don’t have a true rival.

Should move South Carolina to the ACC and bring Vandy back to the SEC.
