LHSAA… 1-5A in Shreveport/Bossier drove a stake through the hearts of districts

The 9 schools voted 8-1 to not play everybody for the next two years… Instead of 8 district games like they would have played, they’ll play 6 and skip 2 of them (which they can still play on the four nondistrict weeks). They cited power rankings and the current college conferences as a reason why.
And this is now a thread, so the rest of the state is taking notice… others will do this undoubtedly. Maybe we’ll skip Karr and Curtis. LHSAA may have to curb this somehow in January.

8 games make those wins only worth 14 points essentially due to someone has to win/lose. If you're unfortunate in either scheduling a team that under performs or God forbid actually lose a game or two, you have no chance at a bye. I understand why they wouldn't want to play 8 district games.
