Well, I got my Acoustisonic Telecaster Standard about a week ago. Fretshack was right.

Unplugged, it sounds like a really good ukelele
I really like it though. It feels like a really lightweight Telecaster.
It's perfect just to pick up and start playing. If you are alone, it's loud enough to hear what you are doing without plugging in.
It sounds good enough plugged in too.
This model is analogue and doesn't have a computer board or selectable voicings.
It has an under-saddle pickup and a humbucker at the bridge, with only a volume knob and a pickup blend/selector knob. Works really well.
The fretboard has a bigger radius than your common telly, but plays and feels pretty close.
It's the only guitar I have picked up since it was delivered, so I guess I'm happy with it.

I came -this- close to buying one, especially when a shop in Tennessee was cutting out overstock on Reverb, hoping it would play more like an electric. But when I went to GC to play on the complete lack of volume unplugged caused me to reconsider and keep looking.
I've since bought a thinline Firefly acoustic-electric, but it's still a challenge for these old fingers to fret easily. I've thought about dropping to acoustic 9's even thought I'm sure it would affect tone.
Keep us posted on your journey with this Auggie. I could still see myself owning one one day.

One things for sure, unless you are alone in a small room you're going to plug in. That doesn't necessarily mean a big amp though. Depends on the specific situation of course.
I can say though, if a Telecaster is comfortable for you to play, you will be fine with this guitar.
I've been playing it all morning, working on some 60s R&B kind of stuff, and it sounds and feels great for that. It's really got a jazz guitar feel. Sounds snappy and chimey.
