Coaches getting fewer years to prove themselves is more common

Because of the portal and NIL a coach can pretty build his team in 2 years now.
He no longer has to go through 4 or 5 years of high school recruiting to build a team.

You see how good a coach really is in just a 3 years now. They're gonna get fired quicker if they suck.

Indiana went from a traditional nobody in college football at a college basketball school to the number 2 team in the nation and a college football playoff lock in 1+ seasons. It can be done.

Just because it can be done, a lot more goes into winning and building a program than just portal players. Every team is doing the same thing and to win a championship it takes a little bit of luck. I feel like you still need to give a coach 3-4 years.

Yeah 3 years seems to be norm if it's a quick firing.
