Al Woods was behind some pretty good linemen in the gase of Jai DB are harder to judge he slip a little.

Cb and Qb are the hardest positions to evaluate and project.

People realize now that Woods probably would of been a little bit better on the O-line, oh well.
And Eugene, no idea, I knew he was raw, maybe having Ron Cooper will help him out a bit.

Where has Jai messed up? I mean you didn't hear his name b/c nobody was throwing his way which means the reciever he was covering wasn't open.
I know in the Georgia game he had one slip and one in the bama game???? I can name 8 times where Chris H. screwed up and was beat!!! I don't understand the negative talk around Jai.

Jai just isn't that dominant of a corner. Not saying he is worse than hawkins. Peterson receives the hype because he is potentially a firts round pick one day.

You when I think aboutit you may have a point. i think Jai lacked in run support though. I am not sure of that. But Hawkins was a highlight film for the opposing Qb and WR (Casey Dick and Landon Crawford)

I have to agree. Jai was a pleasant surprise this year because he didn't look very good the previous year the few times he got playing time.
I hope keeps improving.

Jai has the speed and size to play in the NFL. He did very well on run support and was a very sure tackler for a team that didn't tackle well. As I said before he has room to improve but him and Peterson should be the starters and all the talk about him not living up to his recruitment is BS.
It is hard for people to talk about corners b/c the good ones are usually never talked about amongst fans. You have to really watch football and film, b/c good corners don't have the ball thrown their way.

Jai Eugene can't run 10yds without falling down. he plays way too tight...needs alot more flex in his hips. hopefully cooper can get him to relax and let his talent emerge.

dude was just a soph in only his second year at playing corner.
granted, PP did come in and have a dominant freshman year that made Jai's first two years not look so good.
but the fact that Jai could come in as a true freahman and play shows he can play. and i though he had a solid sophmore year.
no reason to think he is not going to keep improving

oohhh Really? Way too tight???? I though we ran a defense called for press cover corners. Now the last timee I checked in that d you can't be too tight. And he slipped 2 times all year. I can name 4 times trindon did. And the times were at TS b/c of our grass being chewed up. As far as his hips..I have yet to see a problem but they are a lil tight(whether it is his hips or his nerves or tech. idk). But HE is THE COVER CORNER we NEED!

Wrong..PP played great..FOR A Freshman. He wasn't all that dominant. There were alot of instances where he was chasing somebody down or couldn't get in position to make the play...but he is a freshman and I think he is everything a corner should be!! Still needs time to get technique!
