Has anyone purchased the Spirit XT285 treadmill? I'm thinking of buying myself a home treadmill for Christmas and running for 30 min every morning, so it will be used a lot. The $500-600 ones seem like they may not last that long so thinking of getting this one for $2300. It will also come with a lifetime warranty. Recommendations on other treadmills would be appreciated as well.

Run outside dude. The added benefits of sunlight, being outside, seeing your world, and saving $2300 are more than worth it.

I have one, the longer version- would have to go look at exact model. Works well. It’s in a converted mother in law suite, and I typically only use in winter months or rainy days so probably only 1/3 the year. It’s probably way overkill for what I use it for, but figured it should last a long time. Bought from the fitness expo or whatever store in Baton Rouge- any specific questions?
Ive had it for 2 years and have just oiled the tree belt a couple of times

Mostly how does it feel when you run? Is it easy on the knees, smooth run? Also is it difficult to re-oil the belt every year?

Feels like running on a treadmill- better than a road.
I’d say I split time between running and walking briskly, I learned years ago running isn’t for me, so I typically bike. Never felt any knee or other leg issues on it.
I went with the longer one with the idea that I’d have more runway for doing sprints on it - seems to help just not sure if that was necessary.
It’s super easy- bought a kit from amazon- long tube and whatever oil included- lift belt shove in tube and squeeze some out, rotate belt some and do again.

I just bought a horizon 7.4 and I'm really impressed with it at its price point. I got a new one for $800.
