Tim Brando Says LSU Fans Are Racist

I am a tad shocked there is not a thread on this. I was livid
Brando on his show today was reading a email from a fan in Lake Charles saying hey what about a little respect lets talk about the LSU/ Miss State Game last night
Brando goes Respect hell give your own program some respect and relates some story how he went to the doctor and some LSU fan didn't know the LSU BB Coaches' name
He then says "I am just throwing this out there" but
Maybe the reason LSU fans are not supportive of LSU Basketball is because of race
His reasoning:
THought 70 perecent of the players on the FootBall team are black they are still perceived as purple and gold and with uniforms plus they are far away they don't have to deal with they are black
That on the basketball court Fans don't have that distance and so they have to deal with their blackness up front
and third while its Basketball season LSU fans are way more excited about Baseball Sesaon ( a more white team which was implied)
He basically called out all the SEC with some exceptions. Pretty incredible

This is f*cking retarded.
LSU fans aren't as supportive of BBall as they are of FBall because our BBall team has SUCKED terribly in the past years, whereas FBall has been great.
This is the SOUTH. We love football. Basketball plays second fiddle. Maybe if we were living on the east coast, playing in the ACC we'd be super-supportive of basketball. And our baseball team? WE'VE WON 5 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS. I don't know if he remembers, but they couldn't get NEARLY as many people in the stands before 1991.

Wow, that's pretty fail. Brando needs to think about what he's saying. I haven't heard anyone say wow the basketball team is doing great! but I sure wish the coach wasn't black.

I tried to call in or find his number,. I would love to compare Grambling and SOuthern Fottball Crowd to their basketball crowd
Also the sort of slam toward LSU baseball was silly. I am not sure that is what he intended but LSU baseball got the fans support after years of hard work

LSU hasn't supported basketball because of a dumbass coach in over his head who was white.

TO be clear his line of reasoning was not that the Coach was Black. But LSU fans and SEC fans have to deal with players blackness more in a Basket ball COurt more than at a Football stadium

I don't think that is indicative of the LSU fans base. I rarely hear that at LSU watching events I go too
