I'm retired now, and did the entire cook except for a couple dishes my wife made for Thanksgiving since everyone was traveling to our home. Add in the prep work for jambalaya for 60 that I'm cooking in the morning for a tailgate party tomorrow and I am wiped out.

Smoked two turkeys, one was spatchcocked, so did it separately, and a bourbon/cherry/honey glazed ham. Chicken/Andouille giblet gravy and dressing, turkey gravy, yams, yeast rolls, fresh cranberry sauce, two pies, Waldorf salad, fresh sweet tea and a brandy/grand marnier whipped topping.

I am glad it's over and after making the Jambalaya tomorrow morning I don't want to cook for awhile. Told everyone that next Thanksgiving me and the Mrs. are taking a cruise.

We cooked all day yesterday for our three kids, two girlfriends, a neighbor and her daughter. Started at 7:40 and served it at 6 PM.

Fried turkey
Ham
Stuffing
Green bean casserole
Corn casserole
Potato casserole
Mac and cheese
Mashed potatoes
Deviled eggs
Cranberry sauce
Sweet potato pie

Feel like I've been hit by a truck today.

Leftover update:

My wife had the idea of making a patty out of the leftover dressing and pan frying it crabcake style and topping it with a fried egg for breakfast.

It was fantastic.
