Lack of coaching, and he didn’t start playing football until his jr year of high school. So he really had only had 2 yrs of actual coaching

Not much you can teach about hands, either you can catch or you can’t. If this were about blocking or route running, maybe. But 2 years should be plenty for a TE.

Wow…. You don’t know much do you… He played basketball most of his life. Catching a ROUND basketball with a wide open hand, is a lot different than an oval football!! Again he hasn’t had much good coaching under BK and company.
Look at the change in our receivers from 2018 to 2019 wirh a good coach teaching them how to catch!!! The summer of 10,000 catches!!!

None of that has anything to do with him catching. Coaching has nothing to do with him holding onto the ball when he gets hit. Still see superstar, he will get there.

Ask all the receivers, TE, and RBs on the 2019 what it meant to do Jugs, blacked out goggles, doorway drills, balls with letters/numbers placed in different places that they had to call out when they caught the ball!!
