That it is, but no more than typical for any major program coaching change. The media focuses hard on successful programs when they switch coaches midway through the season. When they are NOT talking about your coaching search, you have reason for great concern.

Tulips were a bid up commodity market bubble. Kiffin has a 100% chance of getting OM to the playoff if they win Saturday, and they aren’t technically eliminated if they lose. That’s something tangible and it’s the reason for the high price tag.

Is he overpriced- sure. But you pay a premium for a coach who has gotten a team to this point.

He also has a third QB in the running for the Heisman. That’s not nothing, either.
