Not a single line of text in the constitution says we need to fund a federal meal or grocery program especially for millions of third world illegals? Or for that matter we need to give money to every single country in the world? Look it up, even China, our number 1 or two enemy, receives 14M of your money every year. Meanwhile conservative podcasters and radio hosts are just attacking each other and not attacking the issues.
In what way does allowing foreign born people run for office benefit the Louisianan, or the Floridian, or the Nebraskan, etc? If you can’t run for president if you’re foreign born you shouldn’t be allowed to run in any public office. (Yes I know that’s a state by state issue).

quote:
“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years. These nations have progressed through this sequence: From bondage to spiritual faith; From spiritual faith to great courage; From courage to liberty; From liberty to abundance; From abundance to selfishness; From selfishness to apathy; From apathy to dependence; From dependence back into bondage.”
With the full understanding that we aren't a traditional democracy, we are about 50 years past the expiration date.
Quote attributed to Alexander Fraser Tytler.

So now we’re abandoning federalism entirely?
Nothing that happens within New York municipal governance, or that of any State, is the prerogative of the federal government.
The Tenth Amendment is masterful, and very clear. It’s our own collective fault that we’ve simultaneously allowed it to be violated and ignored for 100 years.
