These people have been getting free food all of their lives, a majority of them at least. Maybe they should have put some rice and beans in some storage containers....but we know they don't buy anything healthy like that, so anyway....

100% of the state is banana republic at best so why should this matter.

Because I pay over $10K per year for homeowners insurance, and no one seems interested in truly working to solve the issue but we solved the SNAP shortfall in a matter of a few weeks using money our state can't spare.

I wonder if Gordon took Jeff Landry on another hunting trip and told him not to fund SNAP where we would be.

Go back to the banana republic piece.
Pretty sure the powers that be don’t care about your homeowners insurance.

Btw that’s a big dollar figure for insurance.

No doubt

I am south of I10 and the carrier claims my replacement cost is like $1.2 million, which is absurd. I could build a bigger and nicer house for $1.2.

To be fair I have two houses on my property, including my detached guest house. It's 1300 living so its larger than most guest houses.

I fight the homeowner insurance fight in the Fla Keys. It’s absurd. And the new movement by some of these carriers is to “depopulate “ the area. So they are dropping homeowners left and right. It may not be long before I say enough and boogie on.

Same. I have about 4 years left here before I at least semi-retire at 50, hopefully, then I am out. The only downside is that my wife wants SoCal because she lived there for 15 years before we met, when I lived there too so I am fighting that fight already.

I told her if we do move back, we to SoCal we are Orange County/Newport Beach or bust.
