He and Trovon are not related in anyway they jusy call each other cousins because they are good friends. His family is originally from Leesville.

I swore that Reed had two related ties to LSU football. I'd even bet money on it.

Ford and Reed are both cousins to Lache. They don't just call each other cousins, they are cousins.

As a junior, the jack-of-all-trades Reed posted 746 yards and 10 scores rushing and 344 yards and a score receiving to go along with 10 passing touchdowns. His versatility has college coaches talking to him about playing either receiver or defensive back, and Reed said he feels like he can bring some intangibles to one lucky collegiate program.

"I'll make everybody work hard. I'm a motivator," he said. "And I feel I can get better. I have talent but everyone can get better."

A close friend of Temple (Tx.) running back Lache Seastrunk (the duo sometimes refers to their relationship as cousins, although they're not technically related), Reed and Seastrunk would like to play together at the next level.

"If he's in the backfield and I'm a wideout, that's hard to stop," said Reed. "If you're a defense you've got to stop the run and the pass and that's tough."

from a texas board

quote:

RB Michael Ford, who committed to LSU in this class (2009) is his cousin. He also has a half-brother that he is really close too by the name of Trovon Reed who is coming out in the same class as Seastrunk. They are both considering playing for LSU. They both attended the Junior combine in San Antonio and both said that they would very much like to play on the same team together.

bam got it....

LINK

actual quote from Lache....

quote:

But first up is LSU. Seastrunk will travel down to Baton Rouge and to a state he's got a lot of family ties to. He lives in Texas, but Seastrunk's family is originally from Louisiana. On a previous visit to LSU, Seastrunk found he had more connections than he originally thought.“(LSU commit) Michael Ford is my cousin, and I didn't even know it, and I've got a half-brother named Trovon Reed,” said Seastrunk.

“Man, I found out Michael Ford is my first cousin,” he said. “And Trevon Reed (2010 WR prospect) is my cousin also.
So which one is right Will? The one with a direct quote from Lache, or from a writer?

so in other words, we're gonna have to do a Springer-like DNA test to find out if they're biologically related?

I've seen more info that they're related than I have that they arent.........if that makes sense.

Wait........where's RO?!

ROOOOOOOOOO what's the verdict?

So it looks like:

A.) Lache and Trovon are cousins.

B.) Lache and Trovon are "cousins."

C.) Lache and Trovon are half-brothers.
