Hire Nick for $12-15 Mil/year for 3-4 years to get the program stable again. Let him hire a coach in waiting and train him to take over. That secures stability.

How about Saban becomes governor, then appoints himself President of LSU, then hires himself as AD, then hires himself as football coach?

I agree. We should also hire lanning to be DC and Kiffin to be OC so he can pick between them in a few years. I don’t see why it wouldn’t work.

If it were that simple it would be done. its not that simple. He likes where hes at and doesn't necessarily like where the landscape of College Football is today. He might be more willing to accept an AD or a consultant position with a program than getting back into the Coaching game.
