What a different story he would have if he had played that game…sacrificing a year of eligibility to help the team and It would have made his 4000+ season his final one.

He did. It never sat well with me either.
I know it was a meaningless game and I know it would have cost him a year of eligibility. But... you dont make your team trot out a WR to play as QB because of your preference.

Sitting that bowl game and playing through whatever the injuries were this year…seems like really bad advice from someone.
