Potential indicator of success for next coach

One of the main reasons that the Kelly era failed was that he never truly ingratiated himself with the state of Louisiana. In my opinion, Kelly didn't truly value and recognize the significance of being the head coach at LSU, and just wanted to be coach at a big time SEC program. Point being, he tried to do things his way at every step without consulting the people that know the state. Telling Corey Raymond and Tommy Moffitt to kick rocks, hiring Polian to run personnel, flying to the west coast to recruit 3 star DBs, the list could go on. If the next coach is going to be successful, he'll recognize that he can't completely build it in his own image and value input of those that know how things run here.
That said, I think a big indicator of success could be whether or not Tyrann Mathieu has a position on staff. I'm not saying make him the DC, but the guy certainly has the football knowledge to be a good addition to the staff and has publicly said he wants to get into coaching. Most importantly, the guy cares about the three letters across the chest. He wants LSU to succeed above all else, and doesn't just want to be a successful coach.
Not saying the next coach won't be a success if he doesn't have Honey Badger on staff, but I think those types of moves will determine how it goes.

The next coach should keep Raymond on staff and hire Matthieu as an analyst to learn under Corey.
