There were so many things that pissed me off with BK teams

The biggest one may have been letting mediocre teams hang around, barely pulling off the win, and then celebrating it like it was a great win. Gosh it made me sick.

Low energy of the team made me mad. Also when players would showboat after making a tackle or a catch when we’re down by 20.

This is the Les Miles tenure

Most frustrating is we really did nothing well. We couldn't even hang on to something like a Les running game that for all of its pathetic conservatism, could bully all teams not named Bama

Our offensive success was just JD5 running around and tossing to 2 NFL-ready receivers. Our defensive success...hasn't really existed (0-3 against Top 80 scoring offenses this year)

The only difference between Miles and Kelly is a national championship (Miles), tougher teams (Miles) and while frustrating Miles wasn’t as “hated” as Kelly, who was never really accepted by the fan base.

The in game coaching was absolutely atrocious at all levels

Just continuously looking unprepared was the main gripe for me

The lack of physicality and violence in his teams was what pissed me off, players look lazy out there.

Lack of preparation. 1st game of the season. 3 and out on almost every 1st offensive possession. Never came out ready to play.

I’ll add. What did we work on in practice last week? Do the coaches not tell Nuss to not call a timeout on 3rd and 19. He’s done it 3 weeks in a row.

My biggest gripe with him was having the same problems year after year with really no fix.

The fricking real indicator for me is how bad special teams has been his whole tenure, particularly kick coverage. What’s worse is once a game we get cute and get it to the goal line and they return it to the 45 or worse like fricking clockwork. Like, how far up your arse is your head to think you have the coverage to do that?

Brian Kelly came to Baton Rouge and made LSU a finesse team........that was his downfall.

Beyond some of the more obvious things . . .

'22 - great win over Bama. Classic. But instead of using this win as a springboard for getting us to the next level, we collapsed. Pitiful game vs Arky, Blowout loss to Aggie. Blowout loss to UGA. Urban spoke of how their big win over FSU in '95 (his first year at UF) was used as the launch pad platform for their success '06 - '09.

'23 - no idea how a coach with as much experience as BK had could not see the train wreck on D coming.

Poor starts - rarely did we play four quarters. A drive or a quarter or a half, but a whole game?

'24 - ugly loss at A&M. But we had an open date before Bama. All our goals still reachable. Night game at TS. Chance at redemption. And we get blown out. Not that we lost the game but a giant face plant in prime time.

'25 - back to Nashville. All our goals in front of us and splat. What should've happened is we beat Vandy and return to TS at night to avenge last year's embarrassment to Aggie. Will stop there.

Fundamentals or the lack thereof. That we were/are so poorly coached on basics.
