We visited here during our Vandy trip; do not miss this place when in Nashville. Incredible collection of gear, instruments, hands-on exhibits and info about the musicians and the process behind the songs of all genres, not just country. Tributes to the Wrecking Crew, Swampers, producers, engineers, and equipment behind the scenes. Well worth the admission, I’ll go back one day to see what I missed. I preferred it to the Country Music Hall of Fame and it was cool too. And while you’re at it, do the Ryman tour as well.

Founder Joe Chambers was one of my favorite interviewers on YouTube. And since his passing his daughter and SIL have stopped posting any content which is a shame since it was their best advertising ever.
What kind of crowds were there when you went? It's on the bucket list for sure.

Crowds were not bad on a Monday a little past opening; it’s not real big so I could see it getting crowded on a weekend or holiday. It was less crowded than the CMHOF was on Friday.

We visited a couple years ago and really enjoyed it. Shreveporter James Burton kept popping up in various exhibits. He and his guitar got around.
One thing that sticks in my mind is they have the drum kit used by Michael Shrieve during Santana's performance at Woodstock. I'm not a drummer, but seeing an instrument from Woodstock, with the video of their Soul Sacrifice performance playing, was pretty cool.

Add RCA Studio B to the don’t miss list. Unfortunately it is a combo ticket with the Country Music Hall tour but it is worth it to see Elvis recording studio and hear the stories.

I saw the Shrieve kit, pretty cool, but it was upstaged by Ringo’s drums from the Shea Stadium concert. Part of a featured Ringo exhibit that also has his red raincoat from the Rooftop and his suit from the Abbey Road cover photo.
