Must be nice to get busted stealing and just turn in your paperwork to retire.

I-TEAM: Pill shopping state trooper now accused of stealing, plans to retire

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - A Louisiana State Police trooper who was recently disciplined for 360 hours after he was tied to a doctor shopping scheme in north Louisiana will be allowed to retire from the department as he faces new trouble, sources tell the WAFB I-TEAM.
State Police confirmed Michael Reichardt submitted his intent to retire paperwork this week.

Online records show Reichardt served as the Troop F Affiliate President. Sources said over the past two months, it was discovered that Reichardt allegedly mismanaged funds by writing checks to himself totaling thousands of dollars.
When the discovery was made, Reichardt, sources said, submitted retirement paperwork.
District Attorney Hillar Moore said his office was never contacted about the alleged theft. State Police said their organization has not conducted any investigation into any theft allegations.

I've said it before, the LSP gets cut a lot of slack just because they have sharp looking uniforms. The ones I've dealt with are no better and no worse than ordinary LEO's.

Organized crime family, screw the LSP!

LSP is the most corrupt agency in the state and it’s not even close

People really need to raise more hell to elected officials about stuff like this. Parish Sheriffs can be held accountable at election time. The head of the Louisiana state mob needs to be an elected official. They like all public workers should not receive a dime of taxpayer money in retirement.

"State Police said they do not have an open theft investigation."
