Nick takes the job at Penn State. Clearly outlines that while NIL money is still allowed every player will get 100,000. No one more than the other. Sure, he misses out on the overpaid prima donna who never lives up to the value of their deal, but he creates a cohesive team that buys in on a concept of working together. It takes four years, but Nick pulls down a natty for the nitany lions. I like it… I think quality players would lineup for that deal… Not to mention a chance to play for the greatest coach in the history of college football. Clearly he hates what the NIL and what the transfer portal has done to college football. Everybody’s soft as shite and thin skinned. They get their arse chewed at practice and they’re on the phone with mommy looking for somewhere new to go. I think this brings out the best of the best. Could this work?

Nick isn't going to Penn State. He wants nothing to do with the shitshow CFB has turned into.

100% agree that he wants nothing to do with it as it stands today. It’s unfortunate that he retired out of distain instead of anything else.

Pretty sure his wife wanted him to retire as well.

As he tells the story she pushed him to hang it up after having new recruits and their families up to the annual lake house gathering. Players and their parents were more interested in how much they were getting paid instead of how are you going to develop my son.

Saban said the same about some returning players too.
