what we have here is a way to convert a typical UnPigmented (TM) 20 quart ice chest into a stable and safe seating platform affording both dry and cold storage AND a front seat for small boats

I had a piece of 5/16 aluminum plate leftover from a pontoon boat rehab, screwed on two pieces of hard rubber to mate with the cup holders, sprayed it with flexseal and installed the boat seat mount and seat

nice and stable and easily removable (just pick it up and set it down). Patent pending of course

Nothing pisses me off more than blatant superfluous product-placement. You should be ashamed Mr Grand TM (all rights reserved)

Round off them edges so you don’t scratch your hamstring.

UnPigmented

False advertisement. That is clearly a desert tan. However I may borrow this idea for the white version I have in the same brand.

Man, it looks like that would turn over pretty quickly on that little cooler…

My tiller seat is on a 24” square fiberglass box with lid, similar hinged top. It has a 40 yr track record

Great post

Not everything is made for fishing during 50mph winds in 5' breaks. Some of us appreciate DIYs for daily use to pearch jerk a few or snag a 3 pounder every now and then.

Thanks for you suggestion.
