The coaching staff had a 2 day break during the bye week. Any SFW thoughts on OC Sloan's search history while he was away from the facilities?

-How to call plays against 3 in the box?
-How to call plays?
-How to cast blame on others?

3 in the box
this isn’t what ole miss did FYI. they’d put 6-7 in the box to give us bad running numbers and then would drop. Just took Sloan a quarter too long to counter it.

This isn’t a defense of Sloan as a playcaller before someone comes at me for being a Sloan apologist

Remember that shitty play call where Garrett hit Kaleb in the hands for an easy 1st down and likely TD late against Ole Miss? Damn Joe Sloan.

It's not always the play calls. He's not a 10, but he's certainly not as bad as some of y'all make him out to be.

Same game, different example.
The INT

Thomas is running free across the field near the end zone. Garrett either intentionally tries a different receiver who's blanketed or severely under throws Thomas. Result, INT. Sloan clearly called a good play.

Even on the 50 yds reception on the first drive, a halfway decent throw results in a walk in TD, but it's a horrible throw.

Like I said, he's no 10, probably a solid 5. But most think it's all him.

Having to admit Nuss isn’t very good is a bridge too far.

I don’t think anyone has pinned all of the blame on Sloan

Most have agreed it’s a shared blame, now I do think a more creative offense could mask some of our deficiencies

Zero schools have him as their HC or OC search at this time.

What did his starting center say in an interview… paraphrase” we know there’s something wrong with the run and we’re trying to figure it out. We just don’t know how to figure it out yet.”

If that is not a coaching problem, I don’t know what is

Sloan is so goofy. I love the looks they give in the press box when his defense makes a big play he's jumping up all happy "like thank god I have defense to save me".

This is in BKs court. He’s responsible.

Now you're getting there.
Brad Davis has to factor here. He's been the OL coach twice as long as Sloan has been the OC, yet the run game and run blocking has sucked that whole time.

Just a non important humorous (to me) post. Not all the blame can be on one coach or one player, for sure. Just poking fun my friend.
