24' USC: 20
24' OM: 29
24' A&M: 23
24' BAMA: 13
25'Clemosn: 17
25' OM: 19

Averages 20 pts per game vs opponents who are ranked at time of game.

USCe was not ranked when we played them last year. but if you want to take them into account then Nuss averages 22 pts per game as QB vs ranked opponent.

I would love to see MVB with this defense.

did you do it that way so you didn't have to include South Carolina?

I have a hard time blaming Nuss too much for last year's results when he was being asked to throw 40-50 times a game in his first year starting and was putting up big numbers. The passing game was the only reason we scored any points at all. Nuss of course had some really bad moments, but the offense's crippling issue was that the running game gave no help.

This year, the running game is still giving very little help, but Nuss isn't really pulling his weight either - fingers crossed his arm looks like it did a year ago starting this week. I do believe his decision making has improved for what it's worth.

pretty much. We were last in the SEC in rushing yards at only 114 yards per game last year. We were second in passing offense. I think it's pretty clear why we struggled to score against good teams

Based on what? He's still making reckless throws into triple coverage for no reason whatsoever. Any time he escapes the pocket and has enough time to watch for receivers it's almost a guarantee he's going to throw into double/triple coverage. He's also still trying to spin and escape out of the pocket rather than stepping up. Those were all things he was doing in his first real action vs. Arkansas in 2021.

no, theres a 2 point difference. but for some reason people tend to think USCe was ranked last year cause gameday was there

people tend to think they were ranked because they just missed out on the CFP.

Tends to happen when a pocket QB has almost no help in the run game. You can't ask him to do it all himself. Is he bad at times? Sure, but how much better would he have looked last year with a consistent run game?

Oh here we go again. The experts who come out to say how bad Nuss is. Wow how original.

Based on the fact that he's doing that less than last year I didn't say he's become a great decision maker - just better than last year, when he was a terrible decision maker
