Let's keep the down votes going I took a job supporting the Meta Data center in Rayville. My office will be in Tallulah, but will live in Vicksburg as its the the closest decent sized city. What am I in for or does anyone have a closer spot to rent?

Congrats on the job! Not sure why you expect down votes unless I am missing something

10 South is a cool rooftop restaurant overlooking the river. That’s all I got.

Monroe is like another 20 mins extra drive. I'm trying to get as close to Tallulah as possible even if Verizon barely has service there lol.

Vicksburg won’t be bad at all. Good luck with the move.

Monroe is 35 minutes from Delhi, Vicksburg is 30 minutes. I would visit with local folks in Rayville and Delhi. Probably some available rental houses.

What will your role be?

Meta believes very strongly in turnover/churn. If you get 5-7 years, consider yourself fortunate.

Rusty’s Riverfront isn’t bad and Beechwood has a decent steak. Other than these few places not much I was ever excited about in Vicksburg.

Really outside what they think about for the most part.I am tech, but simply on the earth moving side and even that is expected to last 3 years. It is huge. We have 50 trucks there, and there are companies with more.

Worth it IYAM. Monroe gets shite on here but it has a lot more to offer than Vicksburg.

But if it was me I'd find a camphouse on one of the lakes.

Get a brain scan done before you start so you have evidence later on…

Consider living in Waverly, that’s where we’d have to go buy beer on Sunday when I was growing up there, so I guess it’s got that

Best of luck

The one in West Feliciana will open sometime next year. Still can’t believe the parish president robbed the parish of 10+ million dollars by selling some of the parish land for dirt cheap.

There are some decent neighborhoods in the Start area. Close to Monroe/West Monroe but away from the riff raff.
