Does anyone have any updates on the season ending.

Would like to make atleast 1 more run to Venice for snapper before I get my mind on trout.

No news from LDWF.

Knowing LDWF; they'll make a post about it this afternoon, or they won't post about it until Thanksgiving when we are 22% over our quota and lose that for next year's harvest. (If i recall we lost 10% of our allotted amount for this 2025 season due to overrun from 2024 season)

It’s like 85%, last time I looked (this weekend- cause I sure as hell couldn’t go offshore)….

My guess is that they want to keep it open thru the end of the month to coincide with AJ season.

I’d love to make at least one more trip.

We had a great year- went out about 20 times, caught our limit each and every time, except once, for Tarpon- when my kid got seasick after drinking a C4 and eating a bag of gummy worms on the way out….he puked, we still fished, but I felt bad for him, so we went back in about 1/2 full.

LDWF posted on their Facebook page a few days ago. Count is 93.6% and closure could happen as early as this weekend or next. Advised staying tune to their social media releases.

Damn. That’s getting close. I was hoping to get the weekend of the 17-19!

Same on our end, we Tarpon fished at breton one day and by the time we got to snapper hole current had stopped so caught a few snapper but that's only time we didn't limit. was all around a good snapper season.

Maybe next year the tarpon fishing will be a little better. (was hot at the end of September, but August was slower than normal)
