If there aren't at least two series in that game where we go 3 and out purely from running the ball three times in a row, then we aren't trying hard enough.

We need be damn near willing to lose a game over this change - it has to be so obnoxious that they have no choice but to start putting more players in the box.

I agree with this to an extent.

Why put more in the box when 3 will do?

You do know that Ole Miss had more than 3 in the box correct. They consistently had 6 to 7 in box and then only rushed 3 and dropped 8 into coverage.

Anyway, LSU needed to be more committed to run in the game. A 3 man rush cannot consistently stop a committed running game. 2 carries by your RBs in the first half won’t get it done.

It most certainly can when you have a SWAC level OL Coach and OL personnel.

When you can't run with 3 down lineman, why would the defense put more in the box? Wouldn't be a necessary risk

So, if we run at 3 in the box for two consecutive series and can't get a first down, you think that will force them to put more in the box?
