If your starting pitcher can’t hit the broad side of a barn, you pull him.

I know that football and baseball are two vastly different games. But the comparison works because quarterback and pitcher are the most important positions on the field in their respective sports.
If your starting pitcher lost his heater and can’t find the zone, you get him the frick out of there! You don’t keep throwing him hoping that he’ll find it. I have no clue why our coach is so married to Nussmeier. It truly doesn’t look like he’s developed at all.
I will never understand why football coaches get so damn married to their quarterback. Buddy, if your arse ain’t getting it done on the field, it’s the coach’s job to put someone out there who will.
It’s clear that Joe Sloan is incapable of running an offense that has an ounce of creativity or rushing threat. The defense doesn’t have to do anything other than rush three and drop eight and we’re fricked. Because our cocksucker of an offensive coordinator doesn’t know what the frick a run play is, he makes it incredibly easy on the defense. And our noodle arm quarterback is so afraid to run the ball that he just chucks it up into highly contested tight windows that he turns the ball over a whole lot.
It’s not working, it’s broken. The starter is inaccurate and lost his velocity. The coach has no clue how to call games. Let the guy who offers something different that opposing teams have to think about start playing.

Practice reps and game experience are a lot of it. The 2nd pitcher probably has similar practice and game reps

Spurrier and Kiffin both would have yanked Nuss by 2nd Quarter
